Our Companies

Ross & Dorothy married and bought the farm in 1950. The following years brought 6 children, which led to over 24 grandchildren. While Ross and Dorothy are no longer with us, the family is continuing to work towards the same goal: to make our family proud with a sustainable farming business. Rooted in hard work and soil, our family farming history grew to include over 100 different crops, including our famous tulips.  We’re a long-standing farming family. We have carefully tended the same soil in Oregon for 3 generations.

By the early 1980’s we had over 15 acres and needed to broaden the market base. Seeing this as an opportunity, in 1983 we started the Wooden Shoe Bulb Company which had a name change to Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in 2001. In the first few years we printed up black and white order sheets and sales were slow. Then, in 1985, we opened our fields for Easter weekend. The rest you may say is history. Now we open our fields for an entire month, end of March the first week of May. We have greatly expanded our operation to include taking bulb orders, cut flowers, potted tulips, a gift shop, and all sorts of food and activities on weekends for all members of the family.

What started with 18 acres of hemp and a small CO2 extraction machine in an unused barn, has evolved into 600 acres of hemp, an expanding grow operation, and two separate extraction and post processing facilities. Our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hemp Authority (HA), USDA Organic, and Kosher certified extraction facilities boast both supercritical and subcritical CO2 extraction. By aligning ourselves with a GMP certified nutraceutical lab, experienced chemists and neighboring farmers who offer generations of expertise, we ensure top tier quality and unparalleled customer service.

Started by the third generation of the Iverson family. Red Barn Hemp uses a whole plant extraction process, which preserves the whole spectrum of CBDs within the plant. Every lot is then tested to ensure that only the best oil is used in our products and presented to our customers. All our products are made with hemp grown and processed in our own backyard. We proudly make pure CBD oil products. Visit our farm in Woodburn – we’re close to Portland and Salem, Oregon. We are well-known throughout the Pacific Northwest for the excellent quality of our products. Enjoy shopping on our website or at our farm.
